NOTES
Redcurrant, Dates, Honeycomb.
The Kii Coffee Factory is part of the Rung’eto Farmers Cooperative Society, which processes cherries from around 1,200 members in Kirinyaga County.
Each member owns about a third of a hectare of land with around 400 coffee trees. Kii is one of three wet mills operated by the cooperative and holds Fairtrade certification. Under the cooperative’s management, significant improvements have been made to quality, including the installation of tiled washing channels, fermentation tanks, and a water recycling system.
Grown on the slopes of Mount Kenya, the coffee from this region is celebrated for its complex and floral characteristics.
