The Santo Tomas district in Cutervo province features a humid yet cool climate, ideal for coffee cultivation—a relatively new venture here, with commercial production beginning just a decade ago. Since then, coffee has become one of the area’s most profitable activities.
Through Cooperativa Aromas del Valle, smallholders gain access to agrotechnical advice, fertilizers, seedlings, and shade tree saplings. With rigorous quality control at their Jaén cupping facilities, the cooperative assembles high-quality community lots by meticulously cupping individual producers’ submissions to ensure complex cup profiles.
A well rounded, intense and creamy spro!
