Kahuhia Farmers’ Cooperative Society (FCS) was registered in 1959, making it one of Kenya’s earliest! In addition to Ngwethe, Kahuhia also operates three active processing facilities and a collection center: Kahuhia Main, Karichiungu, Wanjengi and Gathinja. Ngwethe was the third to be operated by Kahuhia.
Today, Kahuhia has 2711 active members with around 378 farmers delivering to Ngwethe, making it one of their smaller factories.
Peaberry (PB) is a name given to a very specific shape of coffee bean and is a natural mutation occurring in approximately 5% of all coffee. The beans are known for being rounder, smaller and denser.
Great Kenyan acidity with banging fruit flavours and a syrupy sweetness. It’s a bright one!
