NOTES
Candied Citrus, Blackberry, Dates.
Inoi Farmers’ Cooperative Society (IFC) is based in central Kirinyaga. Ndimi is one of 11 wet mills operated by IFC and is produced by smallholder farmers who cultivate from small coffee gardens that are, on average, smaller than 1 hectare!
The ‘SL’ varieties were originally released in the 1930s by Scott Agricultural Laboratories (SAL). They quickly became the go-to trees for many Kenyan farmers due to their deep root structure. This allowed for scarce water resource maximising and flourishing without irrigation.
Ruiru 11 is a relatively new variety known for its strong resistance to diseases and high yields.
Bright and berry juicy. Expect a silky mouthfeel and a clean, sparkly finish.
